THE HISTORY OF PIONEERTOWN PUBLIC RADIO

Here at Pioneertown Public Radio listeners are treated to Classic Country Music throughout each day and Old Timey Radio Shows every night. For the first time in 75 years, Pioneertown, USA has its very own radio station!

Pioneertown, a small western themed community in Southern California, was established in the mid 194os by Hollywood celebrities from the film, music and radio entertainment industries. Dick Curtis headed the operation that included support from The Sons Of The Pioneers, Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Russell Hayden, Gene Autry and Philip N. Kras

Krasne along with his good friend, The Cisco Kid, just to name a few.

Considering its dense and rich history within the entertainment industry, it seems as though a Pioneertown radio station is about 75 years overdue!
